Western Lettings are the most professional and efficient letting agent Ive experienced. After staying in a property with them for over 4 years it is easy to see how much they strive to put their tenants first and offer endless support through any circumstance. All the staff I have dealt with have been super professional, however a special thanks must go to India, the property manager. She has always been available to deal with any queries or problems, in a friendly and quick manner. Mixed experience, reliable in some areas, lacking in others
As a landlord, I've had a very mixed experience. Focusing on 5 keys areas I care about:

1. Tenant Sourcing & Vetting
This has been the weakest area. Tenant searches take too long, often stretching into months (70 days in average), and it doesn't seem like the property is actively being marketed. It feels like not much effort is being made.

2. Rent Collection & Financial Management
No complaints here. Rent is collected reliably, and the online system is easy to use for tracking payments and accessing statements.

It's been smooth.

3. Maintenance & Repairs
Some expenses feel avoidable, like sending a handyman multiple times instead of resolving issues in one visit. They often use their in-house handyman, and it sometimes feels more about profit than practicality. However, scheduled maintenance is done properly.

4. Legal Compliance & Documentation
This area is handled well. Certifications and documentation are always up to date, which gives peace of mind and reflects good professionalism.

Communication & Transparency
Responses are timely and professional. Communication is steady and courteous, which I appreciate, but there's room for more initiative. In summary, be prepared to lose 2-3 months rent per property per year, however once managed everything is great.

Possibly the best letting company I've had the pleasure of renting from. Since I moved in last year, they've been incredible.. from timely repairs to support with personal issues regarding the tenancy. Communication was always professional and replies were returned in a timely manner. The app to report faults etc is great as well. Couldn't fault them.

Its not easy managing a rental property from the other side of the world (Australia) and I consider myself very fortunate to have discovered Western Lettings. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Western Lettings have been brilliant. I rented a flat through them for several years, and they were very reliable and helpful every time there was a problem. I have also found their pricing very fair. They are the best you can get in the West End.

Absolutely awful experience. I have been renting in the UK for over 10 years and I have never had such a bad experience with any state agents. I saw myself in the situation were the landlord had to come back to the property after 4 months of me moving in, and I had to leave within 28 days. The worst wasn't the fact that I had to move out with such short notice, but was the lack of assistance and sympathy from this agents. From day one, they have been uninterested and unhelpful. I don't want to have anything to do with this company ever again. Thanks for nothing.

We rented a flat off of Western Lettings last year and they were fantastic all through the process. They have always been very quick at responding to emails and were at end of the phone if we needed anything. The washing machine broke 2 weeks after moving in and they got someone out to look at it, and ultimately replace it quickly. We were a bit nervous when we moved out as there are so many horror stories of letting agents being difficult with deposits. But they appreciated how clean we had left the flat and refunded us the full amount. I would be very happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a flat in Glasgow.

We've dealt with a few estate agents/letting agents in our time and Western Lettings is by far the most responsive and friendly. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The check in process, inventory and tenancy agreement has been easy to do online, the inventory being very thorough.

I rented with Western Lettings for the last 3-4 months of a 7.5~ month stay in Glasgow from January 1st 2021. The landlord (which was also lovely and responsive) switched over to them for a while before letting us know he chose to sell the flat but this was communicated effectively by him and the agency and they went above and beyond to make the stay and moving as easy as possible!
