For Tenants

If you are looking for a property to let, we will do our best to find a house to match your needs. We have been in business since 2003 and have found homes for hundreds of tenants, including both private payers and tenants on benefits. The minimum stay is a 6 month tenancy, but at the end of the 6 months this automatically becomes a rolling tenancy and you can stay until you or the landlord give notice to quit. Some tenants have been in the same property for ten years and more.

Renting a property is a two way contract. Your landlord provides a property that will be your own home while you live there. You have to pay the rent, pay the rates and utility bills and be responsible for your bins, keep the back yard tidy and generally look after the property and keep it decent. You must not disturb the neighbours or cause a nuisance, and you must not break the law and you must not damage the property.

In return, the landlord is responsible for the gas safety certificate and basic structural repairs. If you have any repair issues while you are in the property, you must contact RPC who will report this to the landlord and arrange work needed through the landlord.

We do require references, an admin fee and checks on your previous residence. We cannot let any property until we have met you and you have viewed the house. Bonds and deposits are required on some properties, but we also let some properties to let without a deposit or rent in advance. You must have a good character reference to qualify for any property with RPC.

For Landlords

Whether you are a professional property developer, an astute investor building a mixed investment portfolio, a senior citizen relying on rental income, or an accidental landlord letting a property you inherited or once lived in, RPC is here to help you.

Our only business is letting residential property, and we devote all our resources, energy and knowledge to property management. In an ideal world letting property would be an armchair investment where regular returns simply land in the bank. Realistically letting to tenants is an active business that requires hands on management and local presence to collect rents, carry out property inspections, vet tenants and keep regular contact with them, deal with repair issues, keep an eye on tenant’s benefits and changing circumstances, liaise with Local Councils and Universal Credit, and be on 24 hour emergency callout.

Here at RPC we pride ourselves in helping landlords profit from their investment, and deal primarily with mid-range to difficult properties housing tenants on benefits. We can guide Landlords through the changing legislation to make sure they comply with legal requirements, including landlord licensing in the licensing areas. We also help landlords with insurance claims when required and can provide unbiased advice on investments in the areas we manage. This

Customer Testimonials

Love rpc..cudnt get better if u tryed..reliable..helpfull..understanding..never want to rent off anyone else again..affordable reasonable rent..house immaculate..cant beat em in my experiances..

RPC have been brilliant with our tenants, giving each person a chance to obtain rented accommodation without having to get fee's up front. Their properties are lovely, clean and a wonderful starting point for people who have to begin again.
They have been professional, compassionate and very helpful and honest and it is a pleasure working with them.

I have found RPC to be very professional and thorough in their work for me. My experience of other Letting Agents in the Burnley area is quite horrific, they will let any drug addict / prostitute or undesirable into your home knowing full well of the consequences just to get the commission.
I can categorically say I have been very pleased with the tenants and service RPC provide and would fully recommend them.

From Our Website

If you are looking for a professional letting agency and property management company that covers Burnley, Nelson, and surrounding areas that can give you all the help and support you need, look no further. If you are a landlord, a tenant or an investor Rehman Property Consultancy is the agent you can trust. We have specialised in property management in Burnley since 2003 and have built a strong reputation for successful Property Rental Management. RPC (Rehman Property Consultancy) is your local letting agent for Burnley, Padiham, Brierfield, Nelson, Colne, Darwin, Accrington, Blackburn and residential properties along the M65 corridor.

RPC Lettings are specialists in property management in East Lancashire. Formed in 2003, the business is now in its 17th year of serving Landlords and Tenants from the head office in Burnley. We ae a close knit team, with experienced and dedicated staff who work together to give our landlords and tenants the professional service required in residential lettings. Our friendly and knowledgeable team members are on hand to help make your investment pay dividends and provide tenants with comfortable, secure homes.

We often report local authorities criticising the standards of letting agents and landlords - now here's a quite different story. Letting agents and landlords have been praised by Burnley council for their professional approach to looking after their properties and tenants. Mujeeb Rehman, of RPC Lettings, has also become the first landlord to achieve the gold standard as part of the council's Good Landlord and Agent Scheme, or GLAS. Members of the public who are visiting our office or viewing a property should wear a suitable face covering as described in government guidance unless they are exempt from this requirement.

We still have tenants in receipt of Housing Benefits administered by the Local Authority, but these are gradually being migrated to Universal Credit. Most tenants on benefits now receive Universal Credit from the Department of Works and Pensions. Universal Credit is being rolled out across the UK, and here in the North West we have been dealing with it for 5 years. RPC works very closely with both the DWP and our Local Authorities to do what we can to ensure our tenants apply for and receive the housing benefits they are entitled to, and our landlords receive the rent due to them.

RPC Lettings have a finger on the pulse of what developments are happening in the area of the M65 Corridor. If you are considering investing in property in the North West but are afraid of the horror stories associated with "Property Investment" then you need to speak to RPC Lettings. We are the one stop property investment shop successfully managing property investments throughout East Lancashire giving high returns. We can walk you through all the pitfalls of investing in bricks and mortar and help you avoid negative equity investments.

When you invest in property, at some point you will need to maintain it. Property Maintenance can become a very expensive outgoing, eating away at your profits especially if you don't have access to the right professionals and resources. The other major factor to consider is time wasted going through quotes and reviews to see if the "Professional" you choose has the right reputation to complete the job. There is nothing worse than employing a cowboy builder who leaves you to deal with his mistakes and almost certainly the loss of a tenant.

During the Corvid-19 outbreak we are following government and SafeAgent recommendations. The office is now open Monday to Friday 9 to 5 but closed on Saturday. We will do our best to support tenants during this difficult time and that includes protecting our staff, contractors and all clients. Your rent is still due and we expect you to pay. If you are having difficulties please contact us by email or phone and let us know. If you have an urgent repair we will send out contractors as soon as possible but please let us know if you are self-isolating or if there is any illness in the house.
